Aiken Pickleball Inc. has opened nominations for board elections scheduled for Nov. 15. You may nominate yourself or nominate others (with their permission). Nominations should be submitted by October 15. The election will be held in early December with winners starting service Jan. 1.
We are looking for candidates who want to participate and guide API as pickleball continues to grow in Aiken. We are filling positions for president, vice-president, secretary and directors. Duties include monthly meetings and occasional special meetings.
The board has been the elected decision-making group for API since we incorporated as a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation in early 2024. The board is elected by API’s Leadership Team, which includes the board and other volunteers who serve as court liaisons, hold training sessions for beginners, run the annual Palmetto Tournament, and organize scheduling for the pickleball courts.
