Odell Weeks will be closed on Tuesday, January 9.  They plan to reopen Wednesday, January 10 at 8:00 AM.

Gregg Park will also be closed. There is a threat of tornadoes and heavy rain.

The City’s Athletics Division has received a last-minute booking from USCA Volleyball for a clinic for their volleyball teams on Sunday, August 31. Because of this, Gym 2 will be reserved for volleyball use all day and will not be available for table tennis or pickleball on that date.  Odell appreciates your understanding and flexibility as they accommodate this amazing opportunity for our young athletes to learn some new skills.  Thank you.

Last evening was our fourth and final Groovy Tuesday.in celebration of National Pickleball Month.  This was our best yet -  Six courts of free pickleball lessons - drawings for Gift Certificates and a brand new Pickleball Paddle;  followed by complimentary pizza and brownies.   Special thanks to Harve Mobley for organizing the clinics; Harve and Mo, our two teaching pros, for donating Gift Certificates for private and group lessons; our social committee that provided the pizza and brownies; and all the volunteers that helped with the drills that made it all possible.

Bobbi Atwell, a former pickleball player who was one of the original Pickledillys in Aiken, will celebrate her 90th birthday on October 25th. Bobbi continued to play morning pickleball at Odell Weeks well into her 80s. She is one of the reasons pickleball is so special.

Bobbi would appreciate texts and calls from her friends. If you'd like you can send her flowers through Flowers by Magnolia on Ping Log Road (803 480-1110). They have her contact information.
